What is the Ortec Finance Hackathon?

It is a unique opportunity to experience working at Ortec Finance. You participate in a group of 4 or 5 of our colleagues to work on a project to improve financial decision making with our (and your) models and expertise. You have the opportunity to gain experience from and work with experienced professionals.

What can you expect?

During the 12-hour Hackathon (8:00 AM – 20:00 PM) you will get to know our colleagues, the technology, and our unique working environment.

What is going to happen?

Depending on your interests and skills you will be selected to join one of the multidisciplinary teams (containing engineers, data analysts, consultants, and researchers). You will be assigned a 'buddy' who

acts as your mentor throughout the day. During the Hackathon, the team will explore new business cases and applications, using data, state-of-the-art technology, and market knowledge.

What will I do on this day?

You will design, develop, and create Fintech models or applications with your team.

What should I bring along?

Your ideas, skills, innovative mindset, and a laptop. Food and drinks are all included throughout the day!

Selection process

The number of available places is limited. We would like the participants of the Hackathon to have the best match. Therefore, it is important to share your resume with us and a short explanation why you would like to participate and what you are looking for in the Hackathon.
