As Quant Trainee with APG Asset Management you’ll be given the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of sustainable investment for the long term. Supervised by experienced field coaches, you’ll work on real asset management issues. We invite you to amaze us by putting your quantitative knowledge into practice. Could we use a better model? Could we improve our code? Just tell us. Your fellow team members will be happy to be given a new point of view!
Because APG manages most of its investments internally, you will be able to see for yourself what goes on in departments such as Portfolio Management, Trading, Model Validation and Asset & Liability Management. APG has all this expertise in house, and that is unique. Do you want to expand your knowledge or look more in-depth into something? Just ask your new colleagues!
Trainee Yeyu Huang has this to say: “In my current assignment I’m looking at how the addition of swaptions changes the risk-return profile of the interest rate hedging strategy. I can delve into the world of derivatives and take part in the asset allocation and replication processes that the team carries out. It’s fantastic to see that I can make a difference for the future portfolio and that I’m genuinely regarded as a member of the team.”
